Last summer, we were horrified by the acts of racism and injustice happening in our world. We felt called to channel our collective grief and outrage into action. We wanted Salesloft to be a part of the solution.

So we took a hard, unflinching look at ourselves and chose to be more intentional with our team, our customers, our communities, and the world. It was not only imperative to speak out against injustice, but to also back up our words with actions — to create inclusivity for all in all aspects of our business.

A year later, we have taken tangible steps to build a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment. And we want to share the progress we’ve made.

Formation of Salesloft Cares

Salesloft Cares is a grassroots initiative born from an employee dialogue in the Spring of 2020. Today, the group serves as the executive leadership team’s “accountability partner” and is the umbrella for the company’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).

We launched several ERGs to create safe spaces for voices to be heard, champion the issues, needs, and opportunities of diverse groups, and identify and fill gaps. While our ERGs are centered around employees who share certain characteristics such as gender, ethnicity, or sexual orientation, everyone is welcome and encouraged to join as an ally. Salesloft ERGs are pathways to rich dialogue and awareness when diverse members engage in transparent, transformational conversations.

Salesloft ERGs are pathways to better support employees and understand what is and isn’t working. We believe that normalizing conversations about social and racial equality makes for a healthier and more effective workplace.

New Talent Pipelines

We’re also making strides in developing the diverse, inclusive talent pipelines that we aspire to have. We have an initiative focused on recruiting at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). We’re also partnering with networking groups Technologists of Color and React Ladies to cast a wider net and have new partnerships in the works.

Enhanced Training

We expanded our existing diversity and inclusion training with a special course to help employees uncover and course-correct unconscious biases and microaggressions and to empower them to become better allies.

Support for Social Justice Organizations

We joined the ATL Action for Racial Equity through the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. This coalition was created to address the pervasive effects of systemic racism and to take action toward ending discrimination and racism in the workplace and beyond.

We also put our money where our mouth is. We match employee contributions dollar-for-dollar to social justice causes to double their donations.

And That’s Just the Beginning…

We will continue to examine our systems and processes and reimagine them to create a more inclusive and rewarding workplace for all employees.

Today, we have a greater awareness of the ways that injustice permeates our society. Ongoing events are a stark reminder of how much further we have to go toward treating everyone with fairness, dignity, and respect.

At Salesloft, we remain committed to advocating for equity and justice within our company and beyond. It’s not just about changing us for today, it’s about working to shift the industry — and the world — to make a better future for tomorrow.
